Here at HW Interiors we are constantly striving to bring unique and innovative designs to our clients' spaces. 2023 has been an exciting year for us, with many successful projects of varying styles and sizes. We have a few projects that we can’t wait to photograph in 2024, but in the meantime we are excited to share our roundup of our favorite projects to date.
Before we dive into our top picks, let's take a moment to appreciate what makes an interior design project truly exceptional. For us, it's all about finding the perfect balance between aesthetics and functionality. A great space should be not only stunning, but also as intuitive and functional as possible for the way the client lives in their home.
Best Kitchen: Our Cypress Island project has been was featured in Florida Home & Garden, The Wall Street Journal and Elle Decor. The double island has become our signature look and this become one of our most viewed and shared projects on social media. An integrated Galley sink with two faucets is a must have in a luxury kitchen.
This kitchen brings together transitional design with a few bolder options. First with the color palette we selected that wove in pops of navy in timeless shades and then with the 3D geometric pattern backsplash that blends beautifully with the shaker style cabinetry. We included kid-friendly seating on one of the Sapien Stone countertops.Â
Best Bold Design Statement: - Our Miami Waterfront primary bedroom with its bold black and white is a departure for us, but this primary needed to be wow because of the location and view. We maintained a largely neutral color palette to compliment the owner’s growing art collection and opted for wood elements and edgy touches of black to bring contrast the beautiful ocean views outside.
Best Use of Millwork Design: The Polo Club library was a fun departure for us as we don’t get the opportunity to do very many dark and moody rooms here in South Florida.

I also personally love the millwork at the Party Of Six staircase - we are HUGE millwork girls. So refined and elevated.
Best Primary Bath: The Polo Club primary bath is one of our favorite bathrooms - it is clean, classic and elevated. The dolomite and warm fluted cabinetry are so good together so the bathroom feels very luxurious and timeless and we were able to incorporate a ton of great storage space. The primary bath at #asilverlininghw is also a really amazing design- a bit more on the bold side but having a client who trusts the vision always pays off!
Best Laundry Room: Â Kips Bay on Palm Beach. We were so incredibly honored to be selected, along with 18 other insanely talented designers from across the nation, to design a space in the #kipsbayshowhouse2021 showhouse and what we delivered was the laundry room of our dreams- it has it all- dog shower, integrated storage cabinets with lighting, floating white oak shelving and backlit onyx floor. We joked that all we were missing was a champagne fridge and it would have been perfection!
Best Powder Bath: #PartyOfSixGoesEastHW (Our most liked photo ever on all socials). This home on Palm Beach is warm and inviting with a family-friendly coastal vibe. This powder room features an extended floating marble vanity which is a showstopper in and of itself, but combined with the wallpaper and the floor inlay, this whole powder bath is a stunner.
Best Family Room: These clients have a wonderful, tight knit family that enjoys spending time together so their one request was an attractive sectional in a family friendly performance fabric for their cozy family room. We warmed up the stone fireplace with a pretty wallpaper accent wall and layers of custom pillows and floor to ceiling linen drapes to add some softness and create a space that the whole family would love to relax in.
Best Use of Artwork: Isle Brooke (Juan LaMarca) This home is very minimalist by design. Custom bleached white oak floors and bright white walls are the backdrop for the homeowner’s extensive artwork collection, which pops by intent against the neutral materials.Â
Best Outdoor: You just can't beat the waterfront views at this property, and plenty of roof overhang gave us multiple outdoor 'destinations' to relax and enjoy the water views and a cocktail with friends.
